I recently stayed at Chanalai Romantica and would rate my experience as a 6 out of 10. The hotel was located right on the beach, which was a major selling point, but there were several factors that detracted from the overall experience.
The room I stayed in was basic, but clean and comfortable. However, it was in need of some updates and renovations, as there were some signs of wear and tear and the decor was outdated. The air conditioning was also inconsistent, which made sleeping difficult on some nights.
